Reaching Circularity in Urban Services
Dia i hora: 15 de novembre de 16:15h a 17:00h
Resum de la sessió: The consequences of the linear economy model of take, make, consume and waste are already visible in cities, as they are big consumers, waste generators and GHG emitters. Circularity has emerged as a response to reduce and overcome the sustainable challenges by making, reusing and recycling. This session will explore how cities are implementing circularity in consumption and optimization of urban services and its main challenges, as well as it will showcase new technological innovations, infrastructure adaptations and how to successfully motivate citizens to follow this sustainable model.

How are new technologies and data management helping us? How are cities ensuring sustainability while boosting their economic development?
Stockholm’s Pathway Towards Becoming Energy Positive
Dia i hora: 16 de novembre de 11:00h a 11:30h
Resum de la sessió: Most of the latest urban development projects are designed with the idea of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creating more sustainable environments, for citizens’ health and for a better future for the planet. Stockholm’s ambition to become a positive energy city has driven them to project a new district with plus-energy buildings that can produce more energy than they consume. How has it been developed? Is it possible for other cities to be energy-positive?
Communities Achieving a Net-Zero World
